top 5 game day eats…

Yippee, It’s Sunday!  And, it may just be my favorite day of the week, especially during football season.  For me Sunday’s almost always begins with something healthy like a good run and end with me eating some sort of delicious, but unhealthy comfort food that I whipped up with a whole lot of running around in between.

Here is a list of the top 5 game day eats that you will find cooking at our house any given Sunday.

  1. Chili
  2. Meatball & Sausage Subs
  3. Baked Mac n’ Cheese (Coxy’s FAVORITE)
  4. Buffalo Chicken Dip
  5. Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Today we decided on doing the Pulled Pork Sandwich’s topped with Cole slaw.  These sandwiches were super easy to make and tasted great with a beer.

Here is the recipe:

2 pork tenderloin

1 large onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, chopped

3 tbs barbecue sauce of you choice

2 tbs olive oil

salt pepper

Cole Slaw: I bought a pre-made Cole slaw and dressing, simply combined the two.  (Hey, don’t judge…it’s Sunday, and I have like 10 loads of laundry to do so I cut a couple of corners)

Preheat oven to 325°F or drag our your crock pot.  Combine all ingredients into your pot. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours. Shred the pork and assemble your sandwiches.

Combine all ingredients into your pot.
I love to try new sauces and thought this bottle was cool so I bought it.  The taste was sweet and tangy!  I would totally buy it again.
Shred pork when done cooking
Assemble the sandwich & crack a beer!

What are your favorite game day eats?

Happy Sunday!
